I wanted to do a quick post with some thoughts and swatches on Dose of Colors lipsticks an lip glosses.
I first heard about Dose of Colors on Instagram and I knew instantly that I wanted to get a piece of that! I know that the lipsticks are one of their newer products with the glosses being the first of their lip line to be released. I finally got my hands on some at Naimies a few months ago and I have been LOVING them! Sadly because the lipsticks were a newer product they were a bit harder to get my paws on…but I am happy with the ones that I chose 🙂
Lets take a look at the lipsticks first…shall we?
I picked up the nude shade in Poise because I knew that I would get a TON of use out of it (and right I was because Ive literally been wearing it non stop lately) and I also grabbed Wild Child because it was the super unique pinky purple color that I have NOTHING like.
The lipsticks are creamy, non drying, and wear just as well if not better than MAC. I wouldn’t say that they are a totally matte finish…probably closer to a satin.
Now for the glosses…I was able to get four of them but the one I REALLY wanted in the shade “Undressed” was sold out. Waaa! Oh well, theres always next time 🙂
These bad boys swatch like a dream!!!
The consistency is hard to explain….they aren’t liquidy or sticky or creamy…they are almost like light light cream. They do transfer a bit before they’ve dried and the finish isn’t this high shine mirror effect at all. Its more of a glowy sheen which I think is rather pretty 🙂
I LOOOOOVE these products and can’t wait to get my mitts on the whole collection 🙂
